Vehicle involved in fatal hit and run located
OKALOOSA ISLAND — Troopers with the Florida Highway Patrol believe they have identified the vehicle involved in a fatal hit and run last week.
Harry Robert Crawford was riding his bicycle April 8 in the outside lane of U.S. Highway 98 near Beasley Park around 6 a.m. when he was struck by a 2004 Chrysler Pacifica.
According to a press release, the 63-year-old Destin man was wearing light-colored shorts and a blue shirt. When he was hit he was thrown onto the shoulder of the road.
He was pronounced dead at the scene.
The vehicle officials believe fled from the scene was located and impounded by FHP and is currently being processed for evidence.
