Cash -conscious drivers should steer clear of the Vauxhall Zafira... after it was revealed it loses £17,000 of its value in three years.

Vauxhall’s Insignia was the second biggest faller, worth only 33.6 per cent of its new value, and the marque’s Astra was fifth worst performer, worth 35.1 per cent.
In contrast, the luxury Audi Q5 holds on to 72 per cent of its showroom price.
The figures show that buyers who chose what appeared to be good deals on new cars were more likely to be stung by higher depreciation in the long run.
