Two-car crash Monday at M-50 and U.S. 12 injures 5
A two-car crash Monday at the intersection of U.S. 12 and M-50 in Cambridge Township injured five people, one seriously.
Cambridge Township Police Chief Larry Wibbeler said a 2003 Pontiac Grand Am driven east on U.S. 12 at 4:30 p.m. by Tracey Lynne McCallister, 43, of Hillsdale drove through a red light and struck a 2007 Chevrolet Uplander driven north on M-50 by Deborah Ann Malinczak, 47, of Onsted. The force of the crash caused Malinczak’s van to roll over onto its roof.
McCallister was taken by ambulance to ProMedica Herrick Hospital in Tecumseh, then transfered to the University of Michigan Health System in Ann Arbor, where she was listed in serious condition Tuesday.

She wept when her baby was returned safely. Cops are still looking for her 2006 blue Chevrolet Uplander. The baby slept through the whole thing.
The company phased out its last minivan, the Chevrolet Uplander, in 2008, after concluding that consumers are more interested in SUVs.
