KOCHVILLE TOWNSHIP, MI — Authorities have identified the woman whose body was found Saturday morning inside a car outside of a Kochville Township hotel.

Amber Desander, 21, of New Lothrop was found dead in a Chevrolet Cobalt LS outside of the Fairfield Inn, 5200 Fashion Square north of Bay, said Saginaw County Sheriff's Lt. Randy Pfau.

Pfau said Saturday that investigators are treating the death as a homicide for now .

Crime lab personnel and sheriff’s detectives are investigating the death as if it were a homicide, Pfau said, but their investigation also could ultimately lead them to conclude the death was self inflicted.

GM needed billions after filing for bankruptcy and now they need there cars back. All 2007 model chevy cobalts are being recalled for a power steering issue Which causes the driver to lose steering assistance. Signed by the director of customer and relationship services Scott Lawson the letter states that: “if power steering assist is lost, it may require greater driver effort at low vehicle speeds, for example 15 mph. Unless the driver compensates for this additional effort, it may increase the risk of a crash.” We are now at a point at which this generation needs much convincing on safety before it makes a purchase. Automotive companies are spending to much time on advertising on hulu than on building a reliable product. However the important news is that unlike Toyota automobiles the GM branded chevy cobalt will actually stop, and hopefully there will not be an ad campaign from GM showing handshakes and hugs from Chevrolet personnel and customers like we saw with Toyota.
