SA woman dies in UK racing crash
A South African woman racing driver has died after a high-speed crash at the historic Goodwood circuit in Britain.
Sandra Harrison-Moore was competing in a time trial at the circuit on Saturday when she lost control of her classic Caterham L7-2 Roadsport 1800 sports car.
Harrison-Moore, 37, an occupational therapist originally from South Africa, who worked to rehabilitate stroke patients, ploughed into a tyre wall after apparently losing control as she came out of the final corner.
She was airlifted to hospital with serious head injuries but died at Southampton General Hospital just after 10pm on Saturday night.
