2011 Cadillac SRX Recalled For Airbag Problem
WASHINGTON — General Motors is recalling 47,401 of its 2011 Cadillac SRX s because an airbag problem may leave the right-rear passenger unprotected in certain frontal and side crashes, according to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration.
"The airbags are programmed to turn off the right-side roof-rail airbag if the passenger sensing system determines that the right-front passenger seat is unoccupied," said NHTSA in its recalls summary of the problem. "The right-rear occupant may not be protected and [may] suffer injuries in certain frontal and side crashes."

The redesigned 2010 Cadillac SRX has earned the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety's Top Safety Pick status. To earn the award,
Cadillac's SRX crossover will get a 3.0L twin-turbo V6 to replace the current 3.0L naturally aspirated V6 and the 2.8L twin-turbo V6 currently offered in
