How to install an amp in a 1996 Audi Cabriolet?

My brother wants me to install an amp in his 1996 Audi Cabriolet, but I have a few questions.

Is the battery located under the hood or somewhere else? I know most BMWs have them in the trunk.

Where is the best place to run

I'm not sure where the battery is, but with some simple looking around it should be pretty easy to spot.

When running RCA and power wire i have always read that running the power wire on one side of the car and the RCA cables on the other
